About Us
The Diocese of Kumi is a mission focused Anglican diocese serving the local government administrative units of Bukedea District, Kumi District, Kumi Municipality and Ngora District in Eastern Uganda with a clear commitment to spiritual formation, community transformation, and sustainable institutional development.
The Diocese of Kumi was carved out of the Diocese of Soroti and inaugurated and commissioned on 21st July 2001, with 30 church parishes to begin with. The Diocese combines pastoral care with spiritual, health, education, and livelihood programs to serve its communities.
